Words cannot describe this devastatingly beautiful crimson red Victorian jacket.  This museum quality jacket was made in the 1890s.  Fashioned out of wool featuring a high collar and bustle back, this jacket gives us dramatic vamp vibes.  There is intricate contrasting black soutache detailing on the front, cuffs, back of the jacket and extending up the back of the collar.

The interior is lined with a colorful stripe silk fabric featuring shades of red, green and blue.  There are two large hook-and-eye closures at the neck concealed by a removable throat latch that fastens with two black mother of pearl buttons.  There are concealed horn button closures and two small exterior pockets.

The only examples of similar jackets are featured in museums like the Met.  This jacket is truly a rare treasure and a wonderful piece of history.
