Are you dead tired of having your important papers blown off your desk by malicious spirits, annoying coworkers or both?
If so, we can help!
This wonderful 1930s casket paperweight is perfect for the person who knows their time in the office (and on Earth) is fleeting, but also understands that Brenda in HR needs that signed paperwork by 3:30.
Established in Boyertown, PA in 1893, the Boyertown Burial Casket Company was at one time one of the largest casket manufacturers in the world.
Renowned for its impeccable craftsmanship and innovative designs, the company was the first casket company publicly traded on both the New York and the Philadelphia stock exchange. It also was the burial casket of choice for numerous celebrities including Marilyn Monroe, Will Rogers, Liberace and Robert F. Kennedy.
Even world famous magician Harry Houdini commissioned the Boyertown company to create a casket for an escape act. He was later buried in that very coffin after his untimely death in 1926.
Unfortunately, after 96 years in the business, the Boyertown Burial Casket Company closed its doors and laid its company to rest in 1988.
This hefty paperweight definitely looks like it has been buried and dug up a few times in its life and that's why we love it! It was clearly used and abused but it still has a lot of life left!
