Art Deco Traub Orange Blossom Engagement Ring and Box

A symbol of love, innocence, purity and the promise of eternal fruitfulness, orange blossoms have held a special place in weddings for more than a century. 

Even Queen Victoria herself wore a crown of orange blossoms and adorned the hem of her wedding dress with these sweet-smelling blooms during her nuptials to Prince Albert is 1840. 

It didn't take long before this beloved flower found a new life in engagement and wedding jewelry. 

In 1910, the Traub Manufacturing Company opened its doors in Detroit, Michigan and it didn't take long for this jewelry-making company to become a household name. By 1915, Traub became the leading creator as well as the gold standard of orange blossom engagement rings and wedding bands. 

Many of their original orange blossom jewelry pieces were made using casts of an actual orange blossom flower. Later iterations featured symbolic engravings of the blooms. 

Today, Traub orange blossom rings are highly sought after for their unique and timeless design.
