This beautiful set is fashioned in a gold plated metal with a lovely antique patina and features a celluloid back with a portrait of a woman cloaked in red. The 3-dimensional art nouveau stylized handle features a striking mermaid swimming with a koi fish and water lily.
Bristles are most likely boar hair and are still intact.

Most of the gold plating has come off or developed a patina. Celluloid portrait has a few blemishes. Brush bristles and misshaped mostly likely from being crushes in a drawer for years. Mirror has a slightly misshaped top and some of the silver behind the mirror has come off. They are both still usable as is and also make lovely display pieces.
