Fede comes from the Italian phrase Mani in Fede or Hands of Faith.  A gimmel ring or bracelet feature multiple hoops, usually two or three, that fit together.  The fede gimmel rings or bracelets often join together with clasping hands.  Such jewelry has been discovered as far back as Roman times but more popularly worn as betrothal rings starting in the 17th century.  A betrothed man and woman would wear the rings separately until they were married.  The bride would then wear the rings joined together after marriage.  These rings and bracelets were also given as symbols of loyalty and friendship.

This fede gimmel bracelet is crafted out of sterling silver.  It features two delicate bracelets joined at the back with a pin allowing them to pivot.  There are two hands that pivot into one another, allowing them to clasp together.  Along the top and bottom of the bracelet is an intricately engraved floral pattern.  A contrasting geometric pattern adorns the edges.
