In Loving Memory Star of David Aerolux Yahrzeit Lamp

Dating back to ancient times, the symbolic gesture of lighting a candle for the dead is commonly practiced in many cultures and religions. Many believe the flame represents hope as well as the continuation of the spirit after death. 

This wonderful Yahrzeit light pays homage to the memorial candles of yore and instead uses an electric Aerolux gas discharge neon bulb with the Star of David inside. The faux patinated brass base is decorated with a raised relief reading, "In Loving Memory," as well as a Star of David and Hebrew lettering. 

Yahrzeit, or anniversary in Yiddish, is the Jewish observance that commemorates the anniversary of a loved one's passing. A memorial candle or light is lit on the evening before the anniversary and continues to glow for 24 hours.
