Many companies produced decorations to suit the ever growing needs of personalizing caskets. One company was S & Co that made nickel plated crucifix plates to adorn the tops of caskets. This crucifix was made ca. 1940 and features Jesus on the crucifix with a beam of light and "I.N.R.I." scrolled across the top. These plates can also be used as a wall adornment as there are four small nail holes on each end.
