There is some lead solder visible on the side of the rod possibly from an old repair. It is not visible when directly looking at the brooch.
Cleaning and Care
Gently wipe ivory with a clean, damp soft cloth or microfiber towel. Do not immerse in water. Dry thoroughly. Polish gold gently with a jewelry cloth if needed.
