We love dark and peculiar Victorian postcards, but this is perhaps the most absurd one we've seen yet!
Originally part of a series about a lover's quarrel between two women vying for the affection of a clown, this particular scene shows the distraught clown kneeling on the ground while a woman reclines on him about to drink a bottle of poison. Wrapped around her ankles is a life preserver.
Across from the couple stands another woman pointing one gun at the clown and another gun to the front of her head.
You'll have to use your imagination to figure out how this one ends!
