There's something so dreamy and romantic about a turquoise and gold pairing. I guess that's why Queen Victoria proclaimed turquoise as the stone of true love.
We dare you to not fall in love with this beauty! Set in 10k gold with the slightest rosy hue, this stunner features a simple seed pearl centerpiece surrounded by vibrant blue Persian turquoise.
This particular ring shape is often referred to as a navette ring, as "navette" is French for "little boat."
Brought from Persian mines in Turkey to Europe in the 16th century, the name Persian turquoise is a bit of a misnomer as this particular type of turquoise has been mined in many other places, including the US and Mexico. It is renowned for its brilliant, pure blue color and for having no matrix.
Turquoise is a relatively porous stone. As it ages and absorbs moisture and chemicals over time, the stones begin to change color, which accounts for the slight hue variation in this ring.
